Tags Feature

There are three types of tags you can use within WodBoard. There are Customer Tags, Event Tags and CRM Lead tags. They all have their own purpose and set up process. Tags help gyms organise, segment and track their customers and leads, giving them a clearer understanding of where members come from, what they're interested in and how they engage with the gym.

Customer Tags

Customer tags are displayed on the customer’s profile, underneath their name. Please note that these tags are not visible in the class bookings list. These tags can be created in Settings -> Customer Options -> Tags.

  • Tags can be manually added to a customer through their profile. Once a tag has been added, the 'Add Tags' option will disappear. To add additional tags, click on the existing tag(s) to open the tag options again.

Ideas for Customer Tags:

  • New Customers: Identify new members joining each month and track their onboarding journey.
  • Customer Goals: Track members interested in weight loss/nutrition, strength, general fitness, competition or improving mobility.
  • Member Milestones: Report on members completing an intro programme or celebrating a membership anniversary.
  • Community Engagement: Track participation in gym competitions, social events, challenges and workshops.

Leads Tags (in CRM only)

If you would like to create a tag that can be used for your Leads within the CRM, you can create them by heading to Settings -> Customer Options -> Tags.

  • Once you have created the tag, head to Leads -> Form and input it into the tags section in the Form. This will auto populate the lead, which can then be used for reports or filtering the leads in your pipeline.
  • When a lead converts to a customer, it will give you the option to bring the tags across to the customer account or delete them

Ideas for Lead Tags:

  • Membership Interests: Track interest in CrossFit, HYROX, Pilates, personal training or specific programmes.
  • Campaign Performance: Tag leads from individual promotions, such as a January Challenge, Summer Offer or Bring a Friend campaign.
  • Lost Leads: Categorise leads who didn't join, such as price objections, unsuitable class times or choosing another gym.

Using Tags to create Audiences

Other features:

  • Create an audience (Customers -> Audiences) using tags for both leads and customers (eg teams within the gym - colours, media source, populations/demographics (kids/silvers/teens)

Reporting

By applying tags to customer and/or lead profiles, you can generate reports to measure marketing performance, identify trends and uncover opportunities to look at trends and improve sales and retention.

Event Tags

The Event Tags are displayed through the timetable and will sit in the booking page beside the customers name.  You can set these up in Settings -> Event Options -> Event Tags.  These tags will pull to your class bookings, which is a great way of keeping your coaches updated for things like:

  • Trials - this will only work off the trial links in the system - not a free pass
  • Drop-ins - triggered by the drop-in link - not a paid pass
  • Birthdays
  • Time Duration - this is triggered when a customer makes their first purchase.  Handy if you want to mark them as 'on-ramp' for 4 weeks or 'first week' etc
