Membership Changes

This article will discuss the processes of changing a customer's membership plan, updating billing dates, pausing and closing their membership.

To make any changes to memberships, you must have permissions set to Customer and Customer Payments. See Staff Permissions article for more information.

Changing Membership Plan

Often members will want to upgrade or downgrade their membership plans. This is a very quick and easy thing to do from your phone or desktop.

  • Type customer's name in search bar.
  • Click through to Purchases -> Details -> Change Plan -> Select New Plan and Changeover Date.
  • You will see a prorated charge or credit to account where applicable.

Changing Billing Date

Most gyms like to have money come in around the same time each month and set that up accordingly within their membership plans. If a customer wishes to change this and it doesn't go against your billing policy then here is how:

  • Type customer's name in search bar.
  • Click through to Purchases -> Details -> Change Bill Date -> input new Bill Date and Change.

  • You will see a prorated charge if applicable.

Pausing a Membership Plan or Pass

There may be times when you need to pause a customer's Membership Plan, Class or Service pack.  For membership plants, this stops further charges but allows the customer to come back at a later date and continue where they left off. Whereas Packs can have a period of time before they expire and pausing stops this from progressing.

Cancelling a Membership or Pass

If you are closing down a Membership or Pass you will need to do the following:

  • Type customer's name in search bar.
  • Click through to Purchases -> Details -> Cancel Membership -> with notice period OR input date of cancellation.

If the customer has a follow-on product, make sure to check the box to also cancel follow-on membership.
